What’s the difference between a mini session and a full session?

A mini session is a quick, 15-minute session on a date and at a location I’ve chosen in advance. It’s $185 and includes 10 photos, which you’ll choose from your gallery. Extra photos are $25 each, or you can purchase the full gallery for $100.

A full session gives us more time and flexibility to choose a date and location, take things at a relaxed pace, and photograph different combinations of people. Full sessions start at $285 for a 20–30 minute Petite session, with all the photos included.

If you already know you’ll want the whole gallery, a Petite session is worth considering: it costs the same as a mini plus the $100 full gallery upgrade.

Can we bring our pets?

Yes! Pets are welcome wherever the location’s rules allow them. National Parks and protected areas restrict pets, so let me know if you’d like yours in the photos and we can choose an appropriate spot for you.

Is a mini session long enough for a big family?

It can be! If you’re hoping for a few photos of everyone together, a mini may be just right. If you want individual portraits, different family groupings, and plenty of variety, a full session gives us more breathing room.

A mini includes 10 photos. If you think you’ll want more than that, take a look at the Petite session before booking.

Where can we have our session?

Full sessions can take place in your home or at an outdoor location in the Greater Tucson area. I have a locations guide to help you choose, and I’m happy to share it while we’re discussing your booking or after you book.

I’m also happy to travel beyond Tucson. Sessions outside Tucson city limits may have an additional travel fee, which I’ll confirm with you in advance.

How do I book?

What should we wear?

Start with Mom’s outfit (or the person who cares most about the photos, but usually that is Mom), then plan everyone else’s around it. Choose something Mom feels comfortable and confident in.

Aim for colors that work together without dressing everyone exactly alike. Pinterest is a great place for color palette inspiration to find colors that look good together. A mix of solids, subtle patterns, and textures photographs beautifully. Most of all, wear clothes you can comfortably sit, walk, and cuddle in.

When will we receive our photos?

My standard turnaround is within 14 business days (I don't work at my desk on bank holidays, though I will occasionally hold photo sessions). If you need your photos sooner, you can add priority editing at checkout for $75. Priority editing has a 2-business-day turnaround.

Do you photograph weddings or events?

Though I have done so in the past this is not the kind of work I pursue anymore. I will photograph weddings and events for existing clients. If you’ve hired me before, send me a text or email and we can talk about what you’re planning.

I recommend Mpix.com for prints. I use them for my own personal photos and have been really happy with the results.
